Bernsteingelb, mit baiserartigem Schaum, duftet das helle Weizen frisch nach Zitrusfrüchten, Apfel, Muskat und Vanille. Der Antrunk schmeichelt seidig dem Gaumen. Ein samtiges Mundgefühl transportiert Noten von Banane und Birne, begleitet von hellem Karamell, sowie einer fruchtigen Bittere. Der Ausklang ist weich, elegant und gewürzt mit einem Hauch Muskatnuss.

Bottle picked up from a Getrankemarkt at Gunzing and consumed at home on the swinging seat at the top of the garden, Tuesday 26th August 2025, after a little bit of gardening arrangement. We have Spaghetti Bolognese for tea tonight. Pours hazy warm gold with a large'ish' foamy white head. Soft mouthfeel, banana straight away but also some toffee. Nice wheatiness, this is another what I would suggest is a classic example. Well balanced, nice sweetness, touch dry, good.

Bottle at Zenith. Nose is sweet ripe banana milkshake, with a light touch of clove. Taste is very much the same. Sweet.

On tap at the Markthale Neun, Berlin. Shared with little Dina. Cloudy orange, small but lasting off-white head. Aroma is fruity, estery, apricot and tangerine. Soft banana candy coming up. Some malts. Flavour is fruity, banana, apricot, malts, spice, quite some cloves. Sweet. Banana lingering. Finishes dry. Smooth, drinkable, medium to almost full body. Good balance.

Smell of wheat, yeast, banana. Cloudy amber colour, beige head. Aroma of clove, banana, yeast, wheat. Medium sweet, lightly sour. Soft carbon.

A: hazy ochre, small, foamy, off-white head.
A: nutmeg, coriander, wheat, banana.
T: sweetish banana, sourish wheat, spicy nutmeg.
F: floral & peppery hops, spices, quite wheaty.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Almost closer to a (full) Belgian Wit than an actual Weizen. Okay.

On tap at GBBF 2023. Cloudy gold lasting cream head. Some banana on aroma. Good condition. So a medium weizen some ok hop on the finish. Some decent lemon and banana. OK.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy orange with a fluffy head. Yeasty, wheaty, some spices, some banana, clove, some Belgian yeasts, peppery. Some dry bitterness, fruity sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively to soft carbonated, dry fruity yeasty finish with some spices. Decent overall.

Getrunken als „Meckatzer Hefeweizen - Das Allgäuer Hefeweizen“. Schöne orange Farbe. Gekochte süße Früchte, herb/aromatische Zitronenschale, kerniges helles Getreide und auch ein Hauch Dunkelmalz. Die Menge an Kohlensäure ist im oberen Drittel; vielleicht sogar oberen Viertel, angesiedelt - allerdings extrem feinperlig und dadurch noch nicht zu „scharf“. Trotzdem macht die schiere Menge an Gas das Bier etwas geschmacksarm - was schade ist, denn das was man rausschmecken kann ist sehr gut. Weicher wäre besser. Dann würde auch die schöne Sämigkeit, die diesem Bier grundsätzlich innewohnt, wesentlich besser rauskommen.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours lightly hazed orange-gold with a small, creamy white head. Light-medium sweet, subdued wheat bread, pale grain, nips of tangerine meringue, yeast. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, simple wheat bread, biscuits, tangerine. Enjoyable beer.
