A golden, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma has tropical fruits, mangos, pineapples, some papaiyas and fructose. Taste has strong pine needles, some tropical fruits and grapefruits, strong bitterness, dry. The end is piney with resin. The bitterness is even tickling in the throat. Medium bodied, quite smooth. Dry, tropical notes and now the bitterness is totally enough, the great beer.

Towering fine yellow-cream head, very stable & lacey, over veiled amber-orange beer. Nose full of exotic and other fruit (passion, peach, lychee,...) and also simply hoppy. Some pale malts too, greenmalt, grassy. Pure lupulin and hopoils, bitter, wry, sticky. Bit of ureum, unripe fruit, pine needles, resin. This is drinking diluted hopoils, wow. Sticky, viscous liquid, slightly burning MF. Don’t look for balance, here. Again not one for the fainthearted. Hopheads, rejoice.

Bottle, 22oz, at Sandar. It’s a lightly hazy one, golden in color and with a dense two-finger off-white head. It’s very piney on the nose, resiny and tropical, grapefruit and some malts. Some warmth on the palate, it’s full bodied and soft, quite dry. Grapefruit, pine cones, citrus peel and some malty sweetness in the flavor, as well as a nice bitterness. Lasting hop dominated finish. Pretty wonderful this one. 150531

Bottle @ Vinoble Odense. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Lots of pine. Bitter, dry and sticky. Some vague citrus and peach. Tasty!

Bottle split at the sleepy-rapping tasting at Ronny & Alex’s pad, CBC fine tuner, 30/04/15. Lightly hazed orange golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is tangy citrics, grapefruit, straw, light spice. Taste comprises toasted malt, caramel, straw, grapefruit, citric pith, earthy hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, seim drying close with earthy hop bitterness. Ok DIPA.

Clear, sunset-orange colored beer has a small but well-retained white head atop.
Gotta say, they should have called this one Citrusy and Sticky and the other one Dank and Piney. While there’s a touch of light pine/resin, it’s more or less all citrics in the nose (and flavor) with even a touch of playful tropical fruit (mango skin, lime, pineapple). Malt rises up quickly, as well, to immediately balance adding light caramel and soft honey notes. Clean with a fresh hoppiness to it, though perhaps a bit too softened by the malt.
In the flavor there’s a rather disharmonious mix of sweet caramel and bright citric and tropical fruitiness that is interrupted by a strong acidity on the finish. I don’t know if I’m as disappointed with it as 3Fourths, and while ultimately, it may be a bit under-attenuated, I do like the attempt to balance the hop acids. Ideally, it would be more dry, with less acidity on the finish, but as is, it drinks reasonably well for an 8.5 % beer, though is a bit of a one-trick pony. Finished the glass with relative ease. Carbonation level helps to balance some of the sweetness but there certainly is a touch of syrupiness.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream head. Pine and grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with light caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger with light caramel.

Pours deep hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Caramel and citrus aromas. Sweet and dry with caramel and toffee upfront turning to resin before the lasting peppery citrus pith finish.
