Can, illegibly dated, maybe 1/4/26, drunk 3/23/26.
Malty (cookies, sourdough) and hoppy (herbs and pepper). Smells clean, fragrant, with an authentic yeast character. Seems legit!
Apple and round, honey-dense malts belie the malt aroma, but are equally as interesting. Biscuity on the end with, perhaps, a hint of glue-like character implying a bit more aging may help. But it's super minor and by and large this is a deeply malty lager with an authentic German yeast character. It's not over-hopped or over-bittered and, though a touch on the sweeter side, still ends with enough bitterness and breadiness and crisp yeast to give a mostly balanced impression.

26/2/2026. Draft at Radio City Social, Chelmsford. Decent pour. Aroma is dank, juicy, fruity, orange. A little musty. Enjoyable.

Keg at The Bolter, City of London. Opaque amber. Thick foamy white head. Aroma is resinous and fruity. Light spice. Flava is similar with more chewy malts but also some unattractive sweaty socks element. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Alright. Not sure it was worth bringing it over the ocean though.

That's better. It's a run of the mill APA but I will take it.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a semi-clear yellow color with a small white head and decent retention. Almost no lacing. Almost no aroma either. Straightforward light pale lager flavor with some light lemon notes in the finish. No pilsner characteristics. Smooth, clean, and harmless enough for a light anytime lager, but definitely not a pilsner. Light body. Medium carbonation. No bitterness.
