Bottle at La Bottega Del Caffè Di Porta Soprano, Genova, Italy, Saturday 11th February 2017 Pours murky dark gold, with a very soft creamy white head. Citrus prominent on a fruity flavour, light to middling bitterness, it’s ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov11 3.0

500 c&c from Wine & Cheese. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Mild aromas of earth, fruit and flowers. Med body or so. Flavor is earthy, maybe a touch of phenol, very mild bitter in the finish. Could be some floral and fruit. Not getting any banana. To me it’s rather clean, tho that could be oxymoronic with respect to saison. Nice drink.

500 c&c from Wine & Cheese. Pours hazy light gold with a huge foamy head. Aroma is pale stone fruit - maybe a touch of apricot - with a hint of citrus. Med body. Flavor is much like fruit juice, with some nice bitter in the finish. I’m still thinking apricot. I prefer it to many of the thin tasteless blonde ales. This one is not so thin and has taste - tho sort of a one note.

500 c&c from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours hazy dark copper with a slight off-white head. Malt is main aroma, but there’s some yeast and fruit. Med body or so. Flavor is malty, yeasty, not very hoppy. It’s halfway to dry. Not getting typical Belgian yeast fruits. Seems lightly earthy, and a hint woody. An interesting take - the flavors aren’t super strong, but they aren’t faint either. Appreciate the earlier rater comparison to Maudite. This does seem to go a little towards that. No regrets.
