About
Mark and Helena Dearman set up Twisted Wheel Brew Co with their daughters Laura and Charlotte in October 2019. Located at the former Windmill Brewery site in Standish, Wigan. Relocated in Winter 2020 to Westbrook, Warrington.
They announced that they were closing towards the end of 2022, however, the former head brewer Anthony Barrett bought the brand in the beginning of 2023. But in March 2023 they couldn't use the facility any longer and plans had to be changed. Their beers were cuckoo brewed, initially at Ben's Brewery Ltd but then at C'84 Brew Co.
In 2024 it moved again to share premises with McCanns in Tenterden, Kent, under the umbrella company United Craft Beverages. An extensive range of beer is available in cask, can and keg.

Keg @ Kings Yard. Misty golden orange appearance, good white head. Aroma brings pleasant NZ hop fruit encompassing melon, lemon and white grape. Continues to taste with lime notes emerging, great balanced hop character, pintworthy and then some. Soft bitterness on the close. Good stuff.

Can at home, 21st February 2021. Pours blackish, fluffy tan head on it. Aroma is light citrus, cocoa, malts and caramel. Taste is smooth, light, not some much bite to it. Easy drinking BIPA

Tap at The Hive Crowthorne, 2nd July 2021. Pours a clear yellow orange. Aroma is lemons, fresh, some funk, sherbert. Taste is lemon, tart citrus, but balanced with a little biscuit sweetness, it’s refreshing and fairly sour, good, but a small measure sufficed.

Can on the train to Bingohame, thanks to James, 11/06/21. Murky brown with a good sized khaki covering. Nose is dried berry fruits, pine dusting, light charr, cocoa sprinkle. Taste comprises cola cubes, light roast, pine needle, mixed tropical fruits, red berry skins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with balanced hop bitterness. Tidy enough CDA.

28/5/2021. Can at the Arcade Street Tavern, Ipswich. Pours cloudy/murky dark pink with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is sour raspberry, citrus, celery. Moderate sweetness, medium sour. Moderate body, average carbonation. Nice tart raspberry finish. Liked this.

Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Slight citrus tart edge. Moderate body, average carbonation. Earthy pithy finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O'Nails, Bristol 26 May 20201. Hazy amber in colour with a slight, white, head. Citrus hops, tangerine and grapefruit, light malts and a dryish finish. Fine.

Can from Chester Beer & Wine. Pours murky yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of grapefruit, coconut, something woody. Taste is lemon and lime, slightly chalky, more coconut. Light sweet finish.
