(bottle, 33cl, 7.5% abv) Cloudy, golden colour with a blond, big and dense foamy head. Yeasty, fruity and delicately vinous (cara-)malty aroma with notes of apricots and a tinge of banana. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Malty and fruity taste with traces of caramel and yeasty spice; moderately bitter-sweet and slightly fruity finish with a well-covered alcoholic strength. Simple, nothing to seek out for. 04.IX.13

Bottle @ home shared with Joes and Dutchdrebus. Slightly unclear golden color, small white to off - white head. Smell malts, slightly herbs, some alcohol, a touch of glue as well. Taste lightly malts, lightly herbs, plants, some fruityness. A bit fizzy carbonation, average body.

From a 0.75 litre flip-top bottle on 15th Dec 2012, at the Essen Christmas Beer Festival. Poured a deep reddy copper colour, medium head of cream coloured foam. Strange aroma, a mix of summer floral notes and freshly baked white bread. The taste was also a mixed bag of flavours all jumbled up: Raspberry jam rolly-polly without custard (thank goodness) with coriander and un-salted nuts. The alcohol is just about noticeable through the flavours but the body depth is about right. A different and interesting beer: would have liked another, but there were so many to try I had to move on!

Bottle @ home. Slightly unclear rusty orange to red color, small off-white to beige head that diminishes quickly. Smell malts, caramel. Taste malts, caramel, toast, nuts, slightly bitter, lightly sweet. Fizzy carbonation in the beginning. After a while it settles though and becomes decent. Ok beer.

330 ml bottle @ Restobières, Brussels. Slightly hazy golden/orange body with a medium sized off-white head. Quite mild but nice aroma of spices, fruit, yeast and a faint hint of caramel. Flavour is sweet, spicy, yeast and fruity. Nothing really specially going on, but it’s really refreshing and quite nice anyway. A bit less sweet that normally for Belgium trippel and that’s not necessary a bad thing.

3/II/13 - 75cl bottle from De Hopduvel @ my uncle's place - BB: n/a - 2012 vintage (2013-134)
Clear red brown beer, big creamy beige head, very stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of caramel, fudge, sugary, some grassy hops, sourish touch. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sourish start, caramel, red berries, some overripe fruits, chocolate, bitter touch, hoppy. Aftertaste: little bitter, overripe fruits, chocolate, mocha, some coffee even. Decent beer, but a bit unbalanced. Maybe it needs more time in the bottle...

Clear brown. Aroma and taste of caramel and malts. I think the spice was quite mild so the balance was good. Easy to drink with a slight sweetness in the finish.
