Pale blond color. Quite nice aroma of hop and cereals. Sweetish cereals flavor. Maybe not exciting, but peasant.

Pale blond color. The aroma is vegetable, flowery, maybe fruity. The taste as well is original, with good body strength, sweet enough; warming. Strange, but not bad.

[Tap] An unclear orange beer with a lazing off-white head - very lively when poured. The aroma is sweet - and like a very flowery pilsnener. The flavor is also sweet with strong notes of yeast, as well as lesser notes of flowers and elderberries. I’m thinking the yeast is the same as used by Apollo - but can that be true? It is very easily drinkable, and very refreshing - the best yet from Aarhus Bryghus - I even had two.

60cl bottle brought back from Denmark by a work colleague. Very dark ruby/brown with beige head. Smokey charcoal and some coffee with a bit of hot alcohol on the aroma. I quite like this, especially in the mouth. Got a bit of tarry sourness on end with camp powdery coffee. Interesting beer.

Bottle. Dark brown almost black colour with a brown head. Roasted malty aroma with some hints of coffee. Malty roasted flavor with some hints of coffee and chocolate. Thin mouthfeel. A little sweet roasted aftertaste.

Draft af Stiften, Aarhus. Strange beer. One of very few I coudnt drink. It tastes of very bad medicíne. and terpentine. Nice darkbrown colour though, and ok head, but smell and taste? Not good

(Bottle 66 cl) Unclear dark brown with a creamy, beige head. An extreme sediment makes this beer muddy an unclean towards the finish - no real aesthetic pleasure... Rather violent carbonation. Lovely rustic, sweetish malt aroma. Nice balance between the dry, hard roasted, bitter malt and the added cane sugar. The finish contains both sweetness and bitterness. An odd but somehow strangely attractive bird. 021205

An unclear brownish beer with a red shine and a light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, but also hints of plastic and cloves. The flavor is a weird spicy one combined with notes of plastic, leading to a dry end with light notes of chocolate and wood. I think something is wrong with this beer, but how can a masterbrewer like Niels Buchwald put an infected beer on the market?

Draught. Medicine or plastic aroma. Very dark brown colour. Quite sweet flavour with some plastic. Something is wrong here, but the brewer did not agree, so my rating stands.

Draught. Oof, the aroma is nasty. Bad, warm plastic stench. Dark red colour, no head. I do not mind fruit beers, but this one is FOUL! Plastic/medicine flavour with some strange, awful bitterness. If there ever was a drain pour, this is it.

On tap at Fynske Øldage, Odense, Denmark. Hazy golden beer. Light fruity aroma with green apples and hops. Thin body and fruity-bitter finish. Boring. (051028)
