Bottled. An unclear dark amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of hops, citrus fruits, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, lemons, and straw, leading to a tart finish.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is very hot and boozy, with perfume, booze, and some light phenols. Flavour is horrendous, with phenols, rubber, and alcohol. I don't actually have the vocabulary to describe how bad this is. Just horrendous.

Svart med lavt beige skum. Lukter bål, kaffe og blomster. Middels fylde. Lett kaffebitterhet, noe floralsk, trevirke og noe stenfrukt. Middels lang, noe salt avslutning.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque black with a gigantic, frothy beige head with excellent retention. Sweet roast aroma, also with some hazelnuts and vanilla. Rich, sweet, filling body - again some vanilla accents atop the licorice roast. But well made, and perhaps the best South Plains ever? 171218

Bottle split at Leightons gaff, thanks to Leighton, 08/11/18. Light black with a well presented tan covering that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is dusty hops, charr, spice, cocoa powder, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises earthy fruits, light pine, spice, charr, mellow roast, cocoa sprinkle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spiked with dusty hop bitterness. Ok CDA ... way better than the 9% version according to my score anyhow!

Bottle shared in London - cheers! Pours deep brown with a big, frothy tan head. Fairly basic, lots of earth, mellow ashy roast, torched pine, orange rind. Medium bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Finishesbwith more earthy hops, bitter cocoa, more burnt bitter pine. Not bad.
