Bottle
Pours a deep redish brown colour with a nice head. Acidic cherry stone aroma. Balsamic and vinous flavour with notes of oak and sourish cherries, there’s also a slight dash of toffee.

No head! Tastes very much like Swedish glögg. I prefer glögg............

Extremely sour. This is just pure syrup what you're drinking. I cant imagine you can drink this as beer. It's not that bad, but for beer it certainly is!

Spicy aroma. Decent appearance, certainly not splendid. As you take a sip, the taste disappears very quickly and leaves a dry finish, with no more taste left.

Quite nice - deep garnet color, only the slightest of carbonation, no head. Initially rather sweet with a balancing tart cherry flavor. Background beerlike flavor - slightly and vaguely reminiscent of lambic. I first tasted a small sample at cellar temp - a bit overwhelmingly tart at that temp...and the dregs in the bottom of the glass looked like dissolved sugar! Is it sweetened? Then I heated it up and had it the proscribed way: very nice. Enjoyable to sit and sip and savor it slowly - a bit like mulled cider. I'm sure this is best on a cold autumn night - but believe or not, I had this with breakfast. Aroma is tart and cherryish.

I finally get to re-rate this beer, having rated it a 1.7 as a novice to sour beers. Boy am I glad to have returned to it. This is really really good stuff! Big sour aroma, granny smith apples rotting on the ground. Metallic/coppery. Acidic, yeasty, musty, vinous grapes. Big sour and caramelized flavors, vinous finish. Unexpectedly empty finish for all the sour malts it features. Brown color with a medium head and good lacing.

A spiced cherry beer based on the Liefmans flemish brown ale. Very enjoyable, but not as complex as Quelque Chose. Quite refreshing served over ice.

Nutty, earthy, and barnyardy, with a late-bursting fruitiness. Very nice...
