Keg at It Ain't Much If It Ain't Dutch, Enid Street, 19/12/2025.
Light black with a lasting beige head ... some good lacing follows.
Nose is stewed fruits, dark malts, spice, toffee.
Taste comprises fruit cake mix, dates, prunes, sugars, stewed fruits, dark malts.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a lick of alcohol.
Okay sipper but overall lacks any real depth to the flavour.

Can, Day 6 Mr Hop advent calendar picked this up from the webshop, Vernray, Netherlands. Had this on what is actually day 11, Thursday 11th December 2025. 🎧 to Huw Stephens on 6Music, it's Round Table and we have Fish Fingers, Chips and Peas for tea tonight 🥳. Pours rich ruby reddish brown, light hazy with an off white head. Pleasant aroma, a little wet wood, I guess it's oaky, thick in the mouth, smooth, rich, caramel, toffee and vanilla. This is very nice and drinks far easier than a 11.5% beer should. Score 7.4

Bottle picked up from Mr Hop webshop, Vernray Netherlands and consumed at the Wohnmobile Stellplatz, Zwiesel Saturday 22nd November 2025 listening to Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on 6Music and cooking Beef Carbonade. We walked from Zwiesel to Regen along the river footpath today, and with short walks in Regen & Zwiesel walked almost 20km in total. Anyway back to the beer, it pours mid brown actually the clarity looks ok, nice bock, soft mouthfeel, there is a little bit of chocolate it's nice.

Bottle picked up direct from Mr Hop, Venray, Netherlands and consumed Friday 14th November 2025 (Loz's birthday) we had a Fish Finger sandwich for tea tonight, listening to Afrodeutscha on 6Music. Pours mid brown with a decent sized off white head, actually it's more v.light beige. Hints of the Irish whisky on the nose and a little toffee and caramel. Full on and with some warmth from the significant above, at first I wondered is there a very slight sour tinge, but this subsided after a few sips..Not quite as smooth as hoped, there's a rich fruitiness it's very much in the English style of barley wine as opposed to a more hop forward American one. It's ok, but I was rather hoping that it'd be better than ok.

Bottle shared at tasting. Black color, small light brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, a bit sweetish fruity notes, relatively bitter in the aftertaste as well though. Not too bad. 7-6,5-6,5-6-6,5

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een troebel oranje bruin bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van citrus en hop. De smaak is zacht zoet, vol hoppig en lekker bitter in de afdronk.
