330ml bottle [as Herfstbock 2023 Editie]. Cloudy, chestnut colour with weak ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slightly toasty, nutty and chocolately, dark malty as well as caramel malty aroma, hints of hazelnut, praline, milk chocolate, coffee overtones. Taste is toasty, chocolately, slightly nutty, dark malty, sweet-ish caramel malty and minimally alcoholic, notes of praline, milk chocolate, some hazelnut, nougat, caramel, a touch of burnt caramel, coffee, bitter hoppy counterpart. Watery texture, slightly dry, minimally repellent, metallic, hard palate, medium, dense, prickly carbonation. Very nice malt flavours, sadly a bit watery; could also be a tad more smooth and soft - pretty decent overall.

Almost black with lasting dark cream head. Aroma and flavour have prominent liquorice and aniseed notes. The base notes of the stout are there with lots of roasted malt. Yeast and sweetish spice play a strong role.

Keg at if ain't Dutch. See photo. A light haze on this gold beer, decent whitish head. Airy palate, slightly soft, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, fair dose of creamy sweetness alongside a appropriate triple grain and spice. Light but pleasing dried fruits on the back end. Gin? A hint of something like it on the back, certainly not that bold. Nice triple.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch, Enid Street, 31/05/24. Clear golden with a good sized frothy white head. Nose is grains, herb, wheat, yeast esters, light citric waft, hedgerow. Taste comprises lemon rind, white peppery spice, Belgian yeast esters, light botanical nip, toasted grains, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad ... doesn't run sweet like many Tripels.

Bottle. Hazy yellow. Peach, grassy hops, endive, pineapple, spruce, wheat, grapefruit juice, passion fruit, coriander, cloves. Quite sweet but also sharp bitter. Medium bodied. It's not horrible, but there's a lot of stuff going on at once.

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is krachtig warm en bitterzoet met een vleug whisky, wat chocolade en vanille waarbij de whisky perfect passend is. Heel goed.
