Pale and opaque. Thin head. This has a peachy hop aroma, and a light malt. This has a sort of a dry finish, but lowish bitterness, and then there's that peachy, somewhat floral but an odd husky character as well.

16oz @ Ryan's shared with Farees, Josh, and Alex.
Aroma: some tropical fruits, a bit piney and flowery.
Taste: along the same lines, citrusy, dry, dusty, very bitter and crispy.
Overall: overly bitter and harsh, meh.

Poured from 473mL (pkg 28/06/2024). Hazy blonde gold with small white head. Dull tropical hops, a bit old and musty, average.

On tap at The Barley Merchant, pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma has some earthy, woody hops, and sweet caramely bready malt. Flavour is quite sweet and syrupy for a westie, with lots of caramel malt, bready notes, and resinous hops in back. Too much malt, not enough hops, awkward balance. Not well-calibrated.

On tap at Barley Merchant. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Pine and sweet malts on the nose. Flavour has stale pine, citrus rind, and sweet malts. A bit seltzery as well. No off-flavours but just not very good.

473mL can, pours a dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma has some esters, red fruits, and bready caramel – doesn’t particularly smell Belgian other than estery stuff. Flavour has Christmas spices, dusty dried fruits, light esters, and light metallic notes. Nowhere close to a proper quad, let alone a competently done Belgian. Too esters and other messed up notes

Poured from 473mL can. Hazed auburn orange with small white head. Aroma better than the taste. Candied orange, esters, Belgian yeast, sweet and boozy.

Jan 2024 canning date (thanks Jak’s on Granville). 473mL can, pours an opaque yellow with a small white head. Aroma is pure cardboard, with no hops left, yeast soup, bleh. Flavour has no hopburn, with cardboard galore, yeast soup, and unpleasant bitterness to finish. Very bad – doubt it was good fresh.
