Pale, bright. Not much head. Has a rich oak smoke to it. Malts are wishy washy -some under fermented gloppy stuff but also a bit thin so mashing and ferm not on point but the oak smoked wheat is fun -I hope that when/if they make a grod with that malt I remember to grab a bus down to Steveston.

Dark brown. Thin head. Some nutmeg and cinnamon up front, mild slight brown sugar character. A bit of ginger -the little extra dark malts present well.

Can't imagine why you'd go mixed ferm on a doppelbock. But it has a nice smokey nose, full body. Just the wilder accents are really distracting. One of those ideas the brewers think up when they're three sheets to the wind.

On tap at Farmhouse Fest 2023, pours a deep dark brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of smoked notes, bready malt and a hint of red fruits. Flavour is dry and smoky, with lots of smoked malt, weird wild yeast, and bready malt. Smoked and buggy, with a weird melange of flavours. It's alright.

On tap at Darby's, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is quite smoky, with plenty of wood oak, moderately peated smoke, and dry bready caramel malt. Flavour is way too perfumey on the barrel — ugh. The smoke is subdued, and the malt is buried beneath that nasty barrely perfume. Something went quite wrong here.
