Bottle, sampled 2014. Pours hazed pale golden with a white cap. Aroma: malty, sweet-ish, caramel hints, light citrus. Taste: light sweet & bitter, light caramel and tropical fruitiness, vague citrus hop character. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Bit watery overall

Huuuge thanks Ryan for this (now) rarity! Murky brown body, off white head. Highly oxidized maltiness, brown sugar in the aroma, so basically sweet and full, Light taste, raisins, light oxidation, light bitterness too. Did not age entirely gracefully, but nothing to drainpour.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, dark beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, roasted coffee beans, hints of molasses, dark chocolate, mocha. Taste is roasty dark malty, notes of coffee, roasted coffee beans, some mocha, all coffee flavours with a minimally tart-ish, tannic touch. Creamy texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Nice coffee flavours, malt-embedded in the nose, almost pure in taste - OK.

Bottle at Castlegate. It pours hazy orangey - amber with a decent white head. The aroma is sweet, stick, rich malt, umami, herbal, orange sponge cane, marmalade, bready and earthy. The taste is dry, tart, zingy, umami, leather, tart, tangy, orange peel, spice, some booze, earth and leather with a drying finish. Full body and fine, foamy carbonation. A rich malty bastard.

Bottle from World Beer Market. Aroma is boozy, sharp citrus fruitiness, grapefruit, plasticine! Taste is nice, initial light citrus bitterness, sweet and boozy, malty, and then a hop burn at the end. Minerals. I like this as it slowly reveals it's stuff rather than slaps you in the face. Something a little creamy about the finish too later on down. Pineapple, keep finding that in beers at the moment. I like it!
