Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and roasted with coffee and fruits. Very nice Porter.

On tap at Cascade, pours an opaque dark orangey amber with a medium beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, candied fruits, and a pronounced hop edge. Flavour is not balanced or cohesive at all, with cloying caramel and dark fruit sweetness, with jagged hops that attempt to balance. Not good at all.

0.33l bottle @ Cask Pub & Kitchen. As good as black looking in the glass this one with a medium sized dark brown head. Looks nice and it definitely smells of, oh .. it smells quite a lot this! Loaded with salty licorice! Roasted coffee and chocolate also here. Quite high on the carbonation with a mid oily mouthfeel. Really impressive amounts of licorice in this and it also has some chocoholic notes with roasted coffee. Lovely baffles as well. Highly enjoyable. Quite high on the carbonation with a mid oily mouthfeel. 09.11.2013

0.33l bottle from Bierkoning. Just missed this one at Borefts, so have been looking forward to trying this for some time now. It's as good as black in the glass this one. It's leaving a small softly lacing brown head. On the nose I immediately get a slightly sour woody thing in the nose. Lots of roastiness mixed with spices and chocolate as well. Cognac sweetness, traces of vanilla but the dominator is that slightly tart/sour wood. Mhh.. I really like the flavor on this one. Super Bourbon infused. Lots and lots of sweet vanilla with chocolate and slightly charred wood. Yeah, this is nice! It has a thick oily feeling in the mouth and it's only softly prickling on the carbonation level. Dark coffee, more chocolate but the real kicker is in the Bourbon. Ends slightly warming with lots of dark flavors. Undoubtedly the best I've had from these guys. 15.03.2014

0.33l bottle from Brewdog Camden, enjoyed at our hotel room. Lots and lots of head on this one. Not disturbing, but much. It pours a blurry deep amber almost bronze colored body and the color of the big head is mild beige. Smells nice and malty. Lots of malty goodness here, and a little bit of both caramel, spices, grass, alcohol and red fruits. Not bad at all. Lots of flavor! Was expecting the alcohol to be much more up front than this, cause it's surprisingly well hidden. Loaded with biscuit sweetness and something light burned. It has strong oily mouthfeel and the carbonation is just about average. Soft warming aftertaste. Lots of malty sweetness as well. Wouldn't mind having this more available. 09.11.2013

On tap @ Borefts 2013. A really deep cloudy orange-ish looking one with a small islandy and light sidesticking white top. The nose has a mild piney hoppy bitterness to it. I get some canned fruits here with a little bit of sweetness as well. Not sticking it's head out to far, but it's a safe and solid dipa aroma. Quite malty and sweet at first in the taste. I get a good amount of honey and piney hops. It has a good oily mouthfeel and a average prickling carbonation level. Ends with sweet honey also and Lingering almost a warming sensation in to the aftertaste. Light dry on the tongue after the swallow. All in all a solid one. 28.09.2013
