At the Apollo brewpub it’s called Special Bitter. Draft. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of caramel, mds, hops, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes caramel, English hops, spices, and bread, leading to a bitter finish.

2013 version at 5.2%. Draft. An unclear yellow beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of wheat, bananas, peaches, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, bread, bananas, and twards the end also cloves, leading to a dry wheaty finish.

Draught at Sct Clemens. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter nice powerfull flavor. Average heavy bitter finish. Oily palate. Really nice hopped ESB.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable tan head. Clear aroma of malt with touches of perfume, varamel amd coffee beans. Bittersweet taste of malt, dark chocolate and some eerie fruit. Sourish aftertaste. Could be better but defi itely drinkable and enjoyable on a late evening.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear tea/amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops with distinct grainy notes. Bitter, hoppy flavoyr with notes of yeast and grain. Grainy and slightly citric finish. Bready aftertaste. Creamy mouthfeel.

On tap @ Bryggeriet Flakhaven, Odense. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable tan head. Dark aroma of malt, grain and roasted nuts. Sweetish, slightly roasty flavour of malt with clear notes of caramel, ending on a dark chocolate note. Nice, if watery.

On tap @ Bryggeriet, Odense. Pours clear pale straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of hops with a yeasty note. Bitter, hoppy flavour, gradually giving way to yeasty and grainy sweetness. Dryish aftertaste with an acidic note. OK but nothing revolutionary.

On tap at Hereford Beefstouw, Odense. Pours slightly hazy amber with stableoff-white head. Clear aroma of malt with touches of caramel. Sweet taste of malt and honey, ending on a hoppy, bitter note. Slightly watery but OK.
