Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear golden with a white head. Fairly dry malt aroma. Light body, a very dry maltiness paired with plain bittering hops. A light, harmless and unspectacular quencher. 061225

Draught Thick, pale tan hed, very even over jet-black beer; rings of lace. Roast, bit cigarette ashes. Nose suggests some restsugars, caramel. Roast, woody, dry bitterish finish. Then falling flat. Light body, quite carbonated. Beyond weird. Given blind, I would have immediately assumed drinking Irish stout - and the looks wouldn't help it. But a Dunkel?

Bottle picked up from Eurospar Schärding Austria and consumed at home in the company of Lynn and Barry Friday 21st March 2025 listening to Indie Forever 6Music after a Moussaka and Greek Salad and day in Passau. Pours light/mid gold with a mid sized white head. Slight hoppiness on the nose, nice softness in the mouth. Perhaps lacks a crispness but it's decent.

BB 06/25. yellow clear color, small white head. smells light struck, grassy, washcloth. aroma are very subtle, does not smell great. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes grassy, earthy, peppery, tobacco, grainy, light washcloth, not that pleasant bitterness. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of grass, grains and some wash cloth. not a fan

BB 07/25. golden clear color, small white head. smells washcloth, bit light struck, grassy, bit buttery, ok smell. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes soapy, toffee, grassy, earthy, peppery, tobacco, bit light struck, bit metallic. finishes lightly bitter with notes of grassy, peppery, bit buttery and earthy notes. rather bitter for a märzen, but I guess thats better as if it was on the sweet side of things. overall a bit bland.

Bottle picked up from Eurospar, Shärding, Austria yesterday and consumed sat on the balcony at home Sunday 2nd March 2025 in glorious sunshine after a 14-15,km loop hike to two local hills Plattnstoa 864m & Fürberg 880m then to our local Gasthof zum Sonnewald, Schöfweg for a beer. We have a Thomasina Miers Chilli tonight for tea. Pours light gold, slight haze large white head. Light bitterness a touch of hoppiness on the nose, initially not impressed but it gets better. Fine.
