Description
Four lifelong Oregonians got together on February 13, 2009 and decided that their knowledge of locale and understanding of craft beer could be an excellent starting point for a business. Later that year Hop Valley Brewing had its debut in Springfield, Oregon, but grew too large for its 15-barrel capacity and opened a new 60-barrel brewhouse and taproom in Eugene in 2013. In July 2016 MillerCoors acquired a majority stake of Hop Valley through its Tenth and Blake craft beer and import division. Hop Valley Brewing Company will operate as a separate business unit of Tenth and Blake.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Orange peel and orange pop aroma. Slight dankness. Taste is mildly bitter with a faint pithy note. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation, decent chewiness. Easygoing. Not unpleasant, but no real depth.

From the Flagstaff Safeway. Pale gold with a frothy, white head. Orange peel aroma. Taste is mildly bitter the whole way through. Faint tobacco at the end. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Not as nuanced or refreshing as it could be. Ok.

Bottled. Pretty much black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is vanilla, mild roasted and chocolaty notes with some mild nutty and ripe fruity tones to it as well. Flavour is roasted malts, vanilla, some liquorice, chocolate, mild nutty notes as well as some slight syrup and a nice bitter grassy kick in the finish.

Can shared in Canary Wharf - cheers to Fergus. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy, white topping. A bit aged, with crackery pale malts, light jammy citrus, some rindy bitterness. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with notes of grainy pale malts, ripening citrus. OK.
