Description
Four lifelong Oregonians got together on February 13, 2009 and decided that their knowledge of locale and understanding of craft beer could be an excellent starting point for a business. Later that year Hop Valley Brewing had its debut in Springfield, Oregon, but grew too large for its 15-barrel capacity and opened a new 60-barrel brewhouse and taproom in Eugene in 2013. In July 2016 MillerCoors acquired a majority stake of Hop Valley through its Tenth and Blake craft beer and import division. Hop Valley Brewing Company will operate as a separate business unit of Tenth and Blake.

19.2 ounce can from Appleton's most notorious Kwik Trip, 3/4/25. Slightly hazy yellow, large white head, average retention. Aroma of dirty citrus, pale malt. Taste is lemongrass, emon, orange, pale malt. Syrupy. Meh.

Can looks identical, with the same description, but it's called stash burst. My be different naming for Canadian market, also same abv. Hazy yellow, medium white head. Super pithy lemon and grapefruit zest. Medium to high bitter. A real hop bomb.

Clear copper pour, with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet candied grapefruit zest, with soft spruce notes. Full mouth feel, soft carb. Medium bitterness, light cereals, sweet, but not cloying grapefruit notes. Nice stuff.

Can from the LCBO.
Amber pour, medium white head. Sweet cereals, caramel, hints of candied citrus zest. An IPA on the sweeter side, candied zest, and pine resins, with bready, caramel malts. old school.

Hoppy aroma of tropical fruits especially grapefruit, citrus, light caramel malt. Flavour is fruity with a nice big bitterness in the aftertaste. Great fresh IPA which was just what I needed on a sleazy summer night.

Hoppy aroma of caramel malt and tropical fruits. Flavour is similar, with a decent bitter finish. A rather mild, easily drinkable IPA.

First of all: This brew smells wonderful. Aroma of fruits, citrus, pine, resin, grapefruit peel, hops. Flavour is fruity and resinous, light sweet, with a good bitter finish. Body is thick and full. Quite tasty and memorable DIPA.

Aroma of malt, caramel, nuts, fruity notes, hints of spices, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a long bitter finish. Malty and hoppy winter ale, much more to my liking than those Belgian spicy sugar-bombs.
