Description
Four lifelong Oregonians got together on February 13, 2009 and decided that their knowledge of locale and understanding of craft beer could be an excellent starting point for a business. Later that year Hop Valley Brewing had its debut in Springfield, Oregon, but grew too large for its 15-barrel capacity and opened a new 60-barrel brewhouse and taproom in Eugene in 2013. In July 2016 MillerCoors acquired a majority stake of Hop Valley through its Tenth and Blake craft beer and import division. Hop Valley Brewing Company will operate as a separate business unit of Tenth and Blake.

Hoppy aroma of caramel malt and tropical fruits. Flavour is similar, with a decent bitter finish. A rather mild, easily drinkable IPA.

First of all: This brew smells wonderful. Aroma of fruits, citrus, pine, resin, grapefruit peel, hops. Flavour is fruity and resinous, light sweet, with a good bitter finish. Body is thick and full. Quite tasty and memorable DIPA.

Aroma of malt, caramel, nuts, fruity notes, hints of spices, hops. Flavour is light sweet with a long bitter finish. Malty and hoppy winter ale, much more to my liking than those Belgian spicy sugar-bombs.

Can at home. Aroma is fresh fruity hops, lots of citrus, light pale malt, grapefruit, a bit piney, tropical fruit notes. Flavour is light sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Very nice easy fruity juicy hoppy IPA, I’d drink this again.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is loads of orange, orange peel, mandarin, light malt, some hoppy notes. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied. Well yes, this certainly lives up to its name, bucketloads of orange, mandarin, with some hoppy notes. One-sided and not great, but being a citrus freak I enjoy this...

Can from Biernavigatie. Aroma is grainy malt, rice, fruity notes with citrus and peach, bit soapy, soda, hint of hops. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Body is light and watery. Not a bad Pale Lager, easy drink and refreshing, just don’t care much for the added rice.

Can from Bierzwerg, Greven. As "Hop Valley Double-D Blonde". Aroma is fruity with sweetish citrus, malt, candied fruits, and a touch of caramel. Flavour is sweetish and lightly bitter. Light to medium weak body. On the dull side.
