De initiatiefnemers achter deze brouwerij zijn Daniëlle Duits uit Tienhoven en Marco Lauret uit Vleuten. Brouwerij Duits & Lauret is opgericht in 2009 en sinds 2015 gevestigd in Fort Everdingen in de buurt van Utrecht. Fort Everdingen is de imposante, stoere thuishaven van brouwerij Duits & Lauret. De brouwers serveren hier hun bier aan bezoekers en bieden daarnaast een kleine menukaart aan. In hetzelfde jaar werd de naam van de brouwerij gewijzigd van Speciaalbierbrouwerij Duits & Lauret in Fortbrouwerij Duits & Lauret.

33 cl bottle @ home. Golden orange color. Big dense white head, that keeps growing for a while, then leaves pretty good lacing. Lots of carbonation (at first). Aroma’s: grass, grain, some (sweet/sour) fruit. Flavor is moderate bitter with some fruity sweetness. Medium bodied. Finishes fairly bitter. Quite true to German standard.

Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’13. Pours a dark amber brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty caramel aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty caramel flavor. Has a sweetish fruity malty spicy yeasty caramel finish.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. Translucent orange, halo white head. Buttery nutty aroma. Flavour is spicy hop, cara malt and biscuityHigh carbonation. Soft water profile. Nice.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Nose is bitter fruits, tangy orange, light caramel, touch of booze. Taste comprises orange pith, dark fruits, sugar, woody notes, caramel. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, dry finish with a touch of booze. Ok stuff.

Clear golden colour, white head. Herbal aroma, malts, hay and vegetables. Sweet malty flavour, light herbal notes, yeast, green banana. Sweet finish, green green banana, light candy.

ChrisO’s Pre GBBF ’Are You Scottish?’ tasting. Light haze on this dark brown beer. Little pale tan head. Light bourbon biscuit malt, a little cream. Light papery note and a touch of dark chocolate. Light dry finish. It’s fine.
