About
Ridgeway Brewing was established in 2002 by master brewer Peter Scholey (former head brewer at Brakspear) and his wife Vanda. The name comes from the ancient trade route that winds its way through English countryside between small towns. It has been around for thousands of years, adapting with the changing times, The reason why we chose the name Ridgeway, apart from living on it, was that we hope to create lasting experiences, believe in the long term and love the outdoors.

Craft TCR Bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton for the antique. Clear amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is light and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Crisp oxidised malts, mildly tangy caramel. Little tangy floral fruits. Light dry finish. Clearly aged but fairly drinkable. If you have no shame. I haven't.

Bottle. Dark brown, small light beige head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, stone fruits, licorice, ash, alcohol. Finish has some alcohol and a bit sour and sweet.

Il gusto al naso propende per floreale e alcolico. L'intensità olfattiva è normale, permanendo in maniera sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore di scarsa tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di apparenza velata. La carbonazione è piatta. Il colore è ramato. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è pronunciato. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano poco di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è intenso. In bocca l'aroma trova impressioni di caramello, miele, cereali, frutta secca, pane tostato, agrumi e spezie.

Il gusto al naso resta attratto dall'orzo. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e l'esistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma non è molto persistente. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Bollicine fini costituiscono la forma della frizzantezza. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è medio. L'amaro è di media potenza. La forza gustativa è normale. La continuità gustativa è sufficiente. Al palato finiscono indizi di cereali.
