Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole Inn, Aylesbury, Bucks 09-09-09 Pours warm gold with a thin white head. There is a lovely beery and bitter aroma with hops and malts presenting themselves. The taste is both malty and hoppy with ripples of citrus and a dab of honey, very nice beer. Nice crisp, fresh beer, light citrus and, good all round fruitiness make this a quaffers delight. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

An easy stout with a complexity of dark malts. Near black with a decent tan head that left plenty of lacing. As the brewer’s description suggests, this was easy and light with some roasted malts and dark fruit, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.
