Description
Stroud Brewery was established in 2006 by Greg Pilley and his wife Jade. The business has grown steadily and now employs over 20 people. We recently constructed a brand new building purpose built for our growing needs. It provides more space for the brewery, allowing an increase in our production capacity, a larger office and a canal-side tap with beautiful views of the Golden Valley.

We have created a range of organic beers that we are really proud of, because they taste great and their production supports the local farmers and the ecosystems they manage. The standards we must adhere to for organic certification support our ambition to be a business that cares for people and planet.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole Inn, Aylesbury, Bucks 09-09-09 Pours warm gold with a thin white head. There is a lovely beery and bitter aroma with hops and malts presenting themselves. The taste is both malty and hoppy with ripples of citrus and a dab of honey, very nice beer. An easy stout with a complexity of dark malts. Near black with a decent tan head that left plenty of lacing. As the brewer’s description suggests, this was easy and light with some roasted malts and dark fruit, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.
