opalescent pale yellow colour, large, dense white head; aroma of grainy, bready, grassy and some lemony notes; taste is quite the same with some hoppy bitterness; correct one

Review based on the BJCP2021 guidelines (style 34B: strong 7.5% / 2A). Bottle 75 cl - Batch L2P20242 (BB: 01.2026). AROMA: medium to medium-high cereal aroma with malty-sweet notes. low herbaceous hop notes. APPEARANCE: light yellow color and hazy. medium white head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: initial medium-low malty-sweet notes with low diacetyl. some faint fruity esters. hop flavor absent. medium bitterness with a semi-dry to dry finish. MOUTHFELL: medium body with medium carbonation. alcoholic warmth but not hot. slight astringency. OVERALL: a "strong lager" with more interesting aroma and a bit underwhelming flavor (and some off-flavours).

Bottle. Black with a small beige head. Aroma of cocoa, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste of chocolate, roasted malts, minerals, cocoa and grains with hints of Port but that might be just by association. Moderate bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. Watery but somehow also kind of creamy. Slightly alcoholic as well. It’s nice but the size of the bottle is way too small. I mean, come on!

Fles op vakantie in Luxemburg geprobeerd met LiekevdV en JoepvW. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met een bruinige schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en drop. De smaak is gebrand moutig, chocolade en houtig.

Keg at Brasão Foz, Porto. Lightly hazy amber, small head. Caramelly nose with some cardboard. Sweet with light to medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and wet paper. Low to medium bitterness.
