Bottle @ apartment in Funchal. Clear golden body with a white head. Aroma has some malt and citric fruit. Flavor is rather sweet malty for the style with mature citric fruit, grain and moderate bitterness. Medium body and a bit weak in aftertaste. Reminds me more of a mix between an APA and a pilsner actually. Drinkable but nothing exiting going on.

Tap @ Lisbon airport. Clear dark golden body with a nice, lacing tan head. Aroma has caramel malt and light, ripe citric fruit. Flavor is quite sweet, caramel malt, slightly harsh, ripe citric fruit and medium bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Not very exiting and it actually does not feel like a fresh IPA.

330 ml bottle from Portugal. Thanks Kat! Pours a pitch black color with dark ruby highlights and a beige head with great retention. Very good, fine lacing. Lightly roasted malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Light roasted malt flavor throughout with some hints of dark chocolate. A little thin for a stout. The body is more like a Schwarzbier. More carbonation than most stouts too. No coffee notes. Not bitter. It's clean, smooth, and very repeatable. A stout lite?

Tap @ Lisbon airport. Unclear orange body with a lacing, dense tan head. Aroma like classic weissbier, wheat, hint of honey, banana and clove. Flavor is also pretty straight forward classic wheat with banana, cloves, hint of honey. A bit sweet but otherwise decent without anything extraordinary. OK body and average aftertaste.

Bottle @ apartment in Funchal. Black body with a nice lacing beige head. Both aroma and taste has mild, smooth roasted dark malt with a hint of coffee. A decent, straight forward black lager that feels like a nice thirst quencher served cold.

220 mL bottle, at a cafe in Curral de Freiras in Madiera. Pours black, with a big, foamy, tan head. The nose is thin cocoa powder, weak coffee, cola, pumpernickel, and chalk. Dry and musty, with a mild, earthy bitterness. Light, crisp, and dusty. Pretty fair.

330 mL can. Pours a clear, golden color, with a fair, foamy, white head. The nose is juniper, lemon zest, straw, and heavy resin. Sweet and malty, with a fair, sticky, medicinal bitterness. Medium body, crisp, and sharp. Reasonable.

0.33 l bottle @ Mijas. Clear golden, thin head. Painfully average macro lager, tho it's not undrinkable in particular. Have had many worse before.

Tiny 0.2 l bottle at the apartment. Nose is weak roasty. In taste it’s somewhat better, there are some roasted and coffee notes in there wrapped up in a surprisingly silky mouthfeel. Light bodied with average carbo. Not half bad.

0.33 l bottle. More like a session IPA than a saison, but not too bad at that.
