Description
Am 16. Januar 1877 erwarb Dietrich Oechsner das Gasthaus „Zum Anker“ samt der dazu gehörenden Ankerbrauerei (gegründet in 1833) in Ochsenfurt. Sein Sohn Konrad Oechsner übernahm 1889 die Brauerei und das Gasthaus. 1902 begann er mit dem Brauereineubau in der Klinge, unmittelbar angrenzend an die Altstadt. Der Erwerb der ältesten Brauerei in Ochsenfurt im Dezember 1936 und des dazugehörenden Gasthaus „Zum Bären“ in Ochsenfurt ist ein weiterer Baustein in der Erfolgsgeschichte der Brauereifamilie Oechsner.

Mitte der 60er Jahre übernahm Konrad-Dietrich Oechsner das Ruder in dem mittelständischen Unternehmen. Er war es auch, der aus dem „Ankerbräu“ die „Privatbrauerei Oechsner“ machte. Nach seinem plötzlichen Tod 1981 war es seine Ehefrau Annemarie, die, gemeinsam mit den Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern das Unternehmen weiterführte. Mit Dipl. Braumeister Dietrich Oechsner steht jetzt der Vertreter der sechsten Generation der Brauereifamilie Oechsner an der Spitze der Privatbrauerei.

Bottle, 5.2%. Weak flowery aroma. Cloudy yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is lemony and refreshing. Not much banana, but that fine by me.

Bottle. Pours cloudy light yellow. with small white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops with a mild touch of banana. Bitter, hoppy onset, giving way to citric notes and a very miæd hint of banana. Sourish finish. Rather unbalanced but drinkable.

Bottle, 4.9%. Soapy aroma. Clear shiny yellow colour. Good stable chalk white head. Good spicy and floral aroma hop in the flavour. Quite clean and crisp flavour with a medium bitterness.

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops with a subtle fresh, flowery note. Bitter flavour of hops with a note of yeast and paper. Mildly rough and cardboardlike finish. Drinkable but just average.

Bottle, 5.2%. Chalky and nicely aromatic aroma. Clear golden colour. Big stable chalk white head. The flavour is quite malty with a fine floral aroma hop. The finish is a little rubbery, apart from that a good pils.

Bottle. Creamy offwhite good mostly lasting head. Brown colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Week roasted notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Only palate.

Bottle at Ungstrup’s. Pours clear pale golden with small white head. Clear aroma of hops. Clear aroma of hops and yeast with a not unpleasant note of paper. Rough, bready aftertaste. An agreeable Helles.

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light grassy. Bitter, toasted malty. Bitter, grassy and toasted. Bitter and cornish finish.
