Description
Am 16. Januar 1877 erwarb Dietrich Oechsner das Gasthaus „Zum Anker“ samt der dazu gehörenden Ankerbrauerei (gegründet in 1833) in Ochsenfurt. Sein Sohn Konrad Oechsner übernahm 1889 die Brauerei und das Gasthaus. 1902 begann er mit dem Brauereineubau in der Klinge, unmittelbar angrenzend an die Altstadt. Der Erwerb der ältesten Brauerei in Ochsenfurt im Dezember 1936 und des dazugehörenden Gasthaus „Zum Bären“ in Ochsenfurt ist ein weiterer Baustein in der Erfolgsgeschichte der Brauereifamilie Oechsner.

Mitte der 60er Jahre übernahm Konrad-Dietrich Oechsner das Ruder in dem mittelständischen Unternehmen. Er war es auch, der aus dem „Ankerbräu“ die „Privatbrauerei Oechsner“ machte. Nach seinem plötzlichen Tod 1981 war es seine Ehefrau Annemarie, die, gemeinsam mit den Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern das Unternehmen weiterführte. Mit Dipl. Braumeister Dietrich Oechsner steht jetzt der Vertreter der sechsten Generation der Brauereifamilie Oechsner an der Spitze der Privatbrauerei.

From tap at Berlin Bar. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is estery, light banana fruity. Medium dry, stery and smooth fruity. Ends medium dry.

50 cl bottle at Berlin Bar. Pours hazy dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma is roasted malty and light grassy. Toasted dark malty, breadish and roasted. Dry roasted malty finish.

bottle from bierpost. Clozdy brown, mid-sized beige head. Low maltiness, yeasty, hints of chocolate. Rather bland for the style, still ok.

Golden coloured with a lumpy white head. Aroma has malts and caramel. Flavours are malt, fruit and caramel with some light hops, quite sweet, clean, crisp and drinkable.

Bottle. Light fruity nose. Deep golden, white head. Medium body, chewy, mellow mouthfeel. Light hay, herbal bitterness. Solid.

Bottle, many thanks to Quack-Duck. Pale golden color with medium white head. Strong malty aroma. Malty taste, hints of bitter hops and metal. Average.

Bottle from pivnizub, dekuji. Dark brown color with medium beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, chocolate, roasted malt. Chocolate malt, floral hops, hints of coffee, caramel in taste. Lot of chocolate in finish. Not so sweet as I expected. Drinkable beer.

500ml bottle. Hazy dark brown with nice stable frothy beige head. Yeasty aroma, wheat, a slightly sourish note. Taste is wheaty, has an unspecific fruity background, a citrus fresh, also a dry note; starts fizzy, ends with smooth finish. OK.
