21st February 2017. Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Hazy gold beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is smooth and very slightly viscous. Reasonable fine carbonation. Airy malts, light creamy sweetness. Fairly bitter hops in the mid. Smoother floralness. Mellow hop spice. Slightly ripe orangy hop. Little tropical fruits. Mild cooling pine. Gets slightly tart and bitter at the end and the alcohol is slightly gum numbing. Overall very good though.

Tap. Mother Kelly’s, Bethnal Green. Fairly hazy, deep orange colour. Film of dense, white head. Leggy and sticky. Nose has sweet, jammy, summer berry hop. Some tinned strawberry. Some candied peel. Taste is sweet, first off, turning lightly spicy bitter. Some earthy notes come through, too. Medium to full body. A little sticky. A little warming. More of the spicy bitterness on the finish. Decent, albeit a bit boozy.
