Bottled. Honeyish yellow/amber colour with big offwhite head. Aroma of oak, hops and vanilla. Flavour is malty, oaky and also hints of vanilla and caramel. Finish becomes fruity and vanillaish. A bit too sweet, but otherwise very nice.

Amber color, good creamy off-white head. Aroma has oak wood and vanilla. Medium bodied. Very sweet toffeish. Lots of oak barrel, whiskey and vanilla flavors. Barrel maturing comes quite clearly to flavor and aroma but overly too sweet to be really good one. (6/4/6/3/12 3.1)

Bottle.Compared to the "regular" Innis & Gunn I like this far better! The oak taste has matured well and the beer feels more luxurious.Dark brown color, small head. Delicate oak and vanila scent. Great taste of balanced malt and oak.

Very odd o rat least unusual scent, reminds of grains and whisky. Mot likely from the aging in oak barrels. 330 ml clear bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. Beautiful golden brown colour. Large and creamy off-white head, long lasting, decent lacing. Unusual aroma and flavour, very woody, Scotch whisky elements, but also notes of toffee, vanilla, cinnamon - and even shrimp and the dark meat of crabs(!). Relatively sweet, but the finish and aftertaste are woody, dry and hoppy. Something out of the ordinary, and I have trouble deciding how well I really like this beer. Definitely worth a try!

Big, creamy, off-white head; chestnut brown body. Light, malty aroma with notes of nuts and dried fruit, and perhaps a hint of smoke. Lovely, deep, sweet taste of smoky malts with notes of creamy vanilla and perfume. Aftertaste is dry and smoky. I should definitely have bought more of these.

Dark amber colour. Ok head. Sweet-ish vanilla aroma, smells a bit like Canadian whiskey. Sweet-ish bourbon flavour. I don’t like bourbon.

Dark amber color. The aroma is dominated by the Bourbon vanilla, with a touch of orange flowers and curaçao. An average Ale, even if original, with some residual sweetness, a touch of milk chocolate and cocoa butter, caramel, vanilla. Well balanced. Pleasant without thrill.

An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wood and caramel - and so is the flavor. Not much different from the standard I&G.
