Die Geschichte der Altenmünster Brauer Biere ist von Anfang an geprägt vom Anspruch, besondere Spezialitäten von einzigartigem Charakter zu brauen. Um sie dann in hochwertigen Bügelflaschen mit einzigartigem Relief anzubieten – übrigens als eine der ersten Brauereien in Deutschland.

Originally the Sailerbrauerei was mentioned in a document for the first time in 1544. After a long history 1967 is considered to be the decisive point in the history of the brewery. In that year the master brewer Gerd Borges and his then wife Gertrud, née. Sailer took over the management of the brewery and made the brewery a great success. After 36 years Borges decided to sell the enterprise. Since 2003 Sailerbräu and the brand Altenmünster Brauer Biere became through the Allgäuer Brauhaus part of the Radeberger Gruppe.

Bottel. Color: Clear ruby, beige head. Taste: Roasted malt, some spices, hints of caramel and lightly hints of chocolate in the finish. Medium to light body and carbonation. Little bitterness.

500 ml bottle served in mug, clear golden with medium foam head. Grass, citrus, grain. Quite bitter, but not hoppy. Soft carbonation, thin body. Reminds me more on a Pils than Helles. Hop extract just adds bitterness, but no aroma.

Bottle. Clear dark gold with a big white head. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malts, grains and honey. Taste of malts, caramel, grains, honey, flowers and minerals. Slightly spicy and sweet. Moderate bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. A very nice Maibock.

From old tasting notes. Deep gold color with a touch of haziness. Light white head. Toasted malt nose with noticeable hops as well. Faint malt flavor with a fresh clean hop flavor. Subtle tart grain finish. Brief dry aftertaste. Well balanced and flavorful.

Clear deep golden colour, tall frothy white head, good retention, fair lacing. Aroma malts, grain, light caramel. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, toffee, candy sugar. Malty sweetbitter aftertaste, bit dusty, light spicy notes, warming alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, decent heller bock.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Bugelflashe jednak cicho wystrzelilo i bez dymku ale za to po nalaniu swietnie wyglada. Piekna kleista i trwala piana. Barwa jasno pomaranczowa lekko metna, chyba to moj pierwszy majowy kozlaczek niefiltrowany. Smak delikatny slodowy i oszczednie chmielony. Jakby krzyzowka dordmundzkiego lagera z kellerbierem. No i spory plus za kompletnie niewyczuwalny spory alkohol zarowno w smaku, aromacie i w ciezkosci.
