Tap at the ÚBF2020. Murky yellow body, white head. Light flowery, perfumey aroma, with a touch or two of diacetyl. Flowery, but also slightly earthy and carroty taste, not in the best of shapes perhaps.

Točené (BBF 2019): Nearly clear, deep golden, medium-sized stable and creamy white head, mild to moderate bitter-sweet grainy nose, perfumed grassy hops underneath; moderate dryish bitter- sweet flavour, pretty light bodied, not soft; lingering dryish grassy-bitter finish. Not good, not a typical Bohemian beer…

3rd Aug 2018; Berlin Beer Mile Festival. Sold as Kapitan Dunkel at a stall where Kormidelnik and Steurmann signs were prominent (which is how I found the beer on here). Anyway my draft glass held a dark brew with a beige head that held well. Malty throughout with brown bread esters and taste, leaning towards a bitter sweetness with over roasted malts coming through late in the mouth. Decent.

“Děčínský Kormidelník 13°“, vom Faß auf dem Berliner Bierfestival. - Tiefschwarz.
