From tap at Foeders, Amsterdam. Grainy malt with oak, vanilla, some barrel notes from the Port. Lots of wood in particular. Modest bitterness, medium body. Interesting and tasty, vanilla. Works well.

Bottle. Picking up plenty of oak with notes of red wine. Grapes, wood, light funk. White and red grapes? Bone-dry. Mild sour, light bitter. Body is medium. Good.

From bottle at Wild Fest Groningen 2022. Dry and funky. Some grain, straw, white grape. Softly vinous with a somewhat dry finish. Some sweetness as well. Very fine Saison.

Bottle bb 1.7.2023. Dark red body, with a small, off-white head. Aroma of red fruits, res wine, some citrus, slight funk. Tastes quite similar, but with a strong dryness. Medium mouthfeel, with a low carbonation. Finishes dry, astringent, fruity, citric, a bit vinous, slightly funky. While the nose is lovely, the taste is much too dry for me, which dominates everything. I like the fruity, vinous notes though. Score: 8 / 4 / 7 / 3 / 14

Flavor is sour, light bitter, little malt, yeast, light wood, sour cherries, bitter cherry stone. Medium body, average carbonation, dry, bitter and acidic finish. 211224
