Can. Cloudy orange with a cm or so white head that doesn't l;ast all that well. Aroma of peach, boot polish, pineapple, old grapefruit, twigs, crackers. Slightly - but insistently - tart and a little slippery with tropical sweetness underneath and a little bitterness and oak to balance. Less exciting but more agreeable than Rise Up. My 50th beer from what is probably Australia's best brewery.

Can. Almost clear yellow with a loose white head. Aroma of crackers, oranges, lime, minerals. Not much funk until a sip, then there's some pineapple, ointment and twigs. Fruity with some stone fruit as well as citrus. Quite a bit oak but enough bitterness to match at the end too. There's a bit of slippery body to it and that may be what really makes it: for a little beer it doesn't feel thin at all. Very refreshing. Another very clever and skillfully executed beer from Slow Lane.

Can. Cloudy pale yellow with a brief white head. Funky old lemon aroma with hints of boot polish and brine. So it tastes. Quite a bit of slippery body, really quite salty finish. Sour but drinkable and refreshing.

Can. Clear red with no head. 3- Aroma of sour cherries, Balsamic vinegar, an old couch, hard spices. But a taste has more dark bread than expected and a lot more bitterness. Some bracken at the end. Malty, sweet, slightly sour and bitter - I wanted one to lead. But tasty and interesting.

Can. Clear brown with a beige head that fizzes away immediately. Mellow aroma of the forest floor, cherries, sherry vinegar. Very gently sour with complex aged malty notes, a little bitterness (more than expected), hard spices, a little blood note I didn't care for. As usual, it's very nicely balanced - deep with modest but insistent sourness.

Can. Pretty much black with a light tan head that settles to a good cm and after a long time retreats to the rim. Aroma of fruity funk, darker stewed fruit and sugars, coriander, licorice. Full but soft, creamy texture is lovely. Rich but dry with peach, oak, dark sugars. Coiled, intense spiced dried fruit, licorice. An oaky and fairly bitter finish. No overt alcohol. Reminds me of Pannepot Reserva. Great beer.

Can. Slightly hazy gold with a white head. Funky, floral and fruity aroma with peach, pineapple, rose petals, oranges, crackers. Crackery malt is insubstantial and the hops and Brett kind of do their own thing without being grounded by it. Tropical fruit, rose petals, oak and twiggy notes. More funky than bitter. Lots going on but not quite tied together.

Can. Unclear amber with a dense 2cm white head. Rich bread and cake aroma with floral and some citrus notes. Some apricot. So it tastes. Rich and fat but it's all whisked away at a finish that's modestly bitter but more peppery than I expected. Pretty good in a style that's only grown on me a little over the years.

Can. Clear very dark brown with a lasting fat coat of beige head. Aroma of dried and stewed fruit (raisins, figs), mace, licorice, slight roast, dough. Full bodied, lowish carbonation. Lots of dark fruit and sugared dough but plenty of bitterness and spice too. Mace, coriander, white pepper. No overt alcohol. My guess is that some will like it more as the bitterness and spices fade a bit but I like it fine now.
