Cask@Reading Beer Festival 2012. Hazy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is wheat, quite zesty and a bit tropical fruity notes with mild yeastyness. Flavour is rather similar in a nice balance, mild-not-too-sweet toffeeish notes are also lurking in there. Balanced and pleasant.

Gusher. Medium offwhite head. Hazy orangey body. Spicy orangey aroma with coriander and fruit notes. Dry spicy orangey taste with coriander notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry orangey aftertaste with mealy papery notes. Not bad, but a bit sharp and edgy. (0.33l bottle shared by Ole_R.)

[1st rate: Cask at Reading BF, May 2012 RB score 7/4/7/4/15] Dark brown-black, moderate beige head. Lots of chocolate with black coffee, then a little smoke in the moderately bitter finish. Good porter. (2nd rate, Cask at the Alehouse, Reading, 14/5/22, RB score 7/4/6/4/14) Mark said it's nice until you drink it but I thought it was ok. Plain chocolate, coffee and cocoa powder. Quite smooth. The flavours are maybe a little too muted to wow you, but it's a pleasant porter nevertheless. Rating given is the average of all times tried.
