Cloudy, just a thin head. Toasty, malty aroma with a light pear note. Bitter up front but off-dry. Some pear…and fairly dry perry character…but also a light pale malt backdrop. My first pear graf and I think they hit it, at least in terms of balance.

Medium brown. Light and tart, with just a bit of chocolate. So is this a bit long in the tooth? There isn't much malt complexity and it does seem like it's not on form, even in the medium-bodied stout category.

Pours a dull amber-brown colour with lots of haze, but not much head. The aroma is interesting. There is a lot of sugar in there, along with some bright fruity hop. It's messy but strangely appetizing. On the palate, it's big. There's a decent whack of hop bitterness underneath but also a lot of sweetness. I imagine that sweetness is more from the barrel than from the malt, and there aren't a lot of chewy malt flavours. As on the nose, the hops bring a lot of bright fruit to the table. The elements are definitely incongruous, yet I don't get any clashy stuff. I swear, this concept has a lot more downside than upside, but the beer ends up coming together to be something enjoyable. I don't know how, but it does.

Bright and pale. Definitely some allium on the nose, but not so bad. The palate is balanced, the expected citra allium sort of stuff, but it’s got an attractive malt sweetness to balance it out. I like that. Not bad. Maybe not as bright as I’d like but the balance and malt character are better than most IPAs I try these days.

Amber, bright. Soft body, low bitterness, some mellow hop notes, light lychee, pear sort of notes, not overpoweringI like the easygoing nature of this, and the balance is good, too. Good, easy-going pale that still has a decent body.

Dark amber-brown. With a thin head. Toasty, and a fair bit of up front coffee notes. The coffee is a bit harsh – not a lot of sugars in the body to balance it, or not enough anyway, but also it’s kind of a harsh extraction.

Pale amber, just a touch of chill haze but mostly bright. Thin head. On the nose, a mix of apples (good apples, mind you) and piney notes. On the palate, mostly pine, maybe a touch of grapefruit. There’s pretty good malt balance. I wouldn’t say this has any NEIPA character, but it’s a solid APA that I’d come back to.

Pale brown, and it drops bright. Lots of nice rummy accents. Decent body. I like it, but it's not all that refined.

Modest orangey copper body and okay creamy foam, varnishy pine aroma. Flavour is nice chewy apricot and peach, soft pine. Good mouthfeel, soft oiliness and very chewy. Works very well, well done.

Light cloudy yellow body and minimal foam, sharp corn and pilsner hops on the nose. Flavour is okay pilsner hops, thin grain. Nice carbonation but little pilsner crispness. Refreshing pilsner but simple.
