Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 19/01/2026.
First Phantom since the closure announcement ... this is #181 ... can I get to 200!?!
Moderate haze on a golden orange pour topped with an off white head.
Nose is bitter orange, grass, grapefruit, stone fruit, pine nip.
Taste comprises ripe tropicana, mango pulp, papaya, mandarin, subtle hop spice.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come lightly resinous hop bitterness.
Tidy DIPA.

Can. Phantom! RIP! Sniff! Near clear deep brown beer, small and short lived bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation on the back end. Soft dark malts but, with a pretty good oaty biscuit semi dark chocolate vibe. Soft creamy dark malts add goodness. A decent earthy fruity coffee vibe comes sailing on through on the back end. A fairly light finish. My flabber is well and truly ghasted in to how much flavour and mouthfeel has been packed in to this sub 4.0% brew. Talented brewers who will hopefully escape the business quagmire that is Phantom and, find another outlet for their talents.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear amber brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Airy palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Soft malts, an oaty sweetness and a mild tangy chocolate. Soft pine into mild but juicy citrus, the back end dominated by candy fruits. Light finish. Not bad, good malt base but unusually for Phantom, needs more hops.
