Description
On St. Patrick’s Day 2007, Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom was unveiled to a thirsty public. Double Mountain was founded by Matt Swihart and Charlie Devereaux with a clear mission: make great beer for craft beer fans! Ours is a “brewers’ brewery”, with an uncompromising focus on beer quality. From the beginning, our goal was to make beers that we liked to drink. All of our beers are served up unfiltered and long-aged, to deliver maximum flavor and character. The beers can be very complex and assertive, but with the ultimate goal of proper balance. We aim to satisfy both the hardcore aficionados and the more casual craft beer fan, all in the same glass.

Dark orange body with white head. Faint hop aroma, almost note. Lovely full bodied flavour, citrus, apple and palm. Long lasting finish. Drink this.

Bottle purchased in USA and shared in Rome with daniele. Semi clear golden color with a short-lasting lacing. Nose is wild yeast, a bit cheesy, mild red fruit (sorry, never had these kind of cherries). Mouthfeel: wild sour funky taste, sourish fruitiness. Far too wild imo.

500ml bottle at Josh&Sunshine place. Pours a hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma is bourbon and wood. Taste is similar with lots of bourbon, boozy bitterness, some chocolate. A bit harsh. Quite good.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor
Amber colour, opaque, frothy head. Caramel flavour, moderately sweet, but not much malt depth; very strong bourbon/vanilla character, light earthy touch.
A good beer, but rather unclassy.

Slightly hazy amber. Not much head. There's a bit of a caramel, toffee notes with a bit of a sharp bitterness. It has a rich toffee note, little bit of vanilla, with a nice barrel note. It's good. Not the biggest body for this type of beer, but the flavours are nicely balanced.
