Description
Brash was founded in 2012 by Ben Fullelove, but laws at the time kept him from brewing within city limits. The Brash Brewing Company came to life when he finally decided to move to Ipswich, Massachusetts. The outdated legislation that prevented brewery owners from operating a bar were overturned the next year and in October of 2015, Brash Brewing Company opened its doors.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, caramel, and hops. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops and lemons as well as medium notes of malt, caramel, and peaches, leading to a very bitter finish. Thanks Theis for sharing.

Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that left no lacing. The aroma was very faint with touches of anise, cola, wood and black licorice. The flavor was bitter with moderate notes of anise, wood, cola, vanilla and black licorice. Long cola, vanilla and anise finish. Lingering black licorice. Medium body though undercarbonated. Disappointing.

Pretty good double IPA. Pours a pale, almost peach color, with little in the way of head. Aroma is dominated by hop, with some citrus-fruit notes and a bit of soapiness. Flavor is a big bite of hops bitterness, with some fruitiness and an underlying sweetness. Bitter finish.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown/black with a slight, transient dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, dark plummy fruit. Med body. Flavor is super chocolate with some dark fruit. Finishes less than dry milky chocolate. Delicious.

Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is slightly soft and semi dry. Sweet skunky hops, pine and grass. Just a touch of citrus, it’s mostly skunk here. Toffee malt base. Finishes with a little alcohol spice.

Bomber from Corti Bros. Pours clear copper with a 3 finger foamy white head. Aroma is earthy/floral/citrus. Full bodied or nearly. There’s a fairly sweet caramel backbone. For me the flavor is extremely earthy with some background citrus. There’s hopburn, but not so much as some DIPAs. But every quaff is earthy bitter burny. I’m even getting to think funky. Can’t be, but it’s that earthy for me. I have no idea about a candy finish. Hoppy as heck finish!
