DRAFT. 4,2/5.
BOTTLE. Batch 1. Murky pale straw, small head. The aroma is flat out pineapple juice, white grapefruit, pomelo, soft Sweetie peel. The taste is just as bright, low perceivable sugar or malt, lots of pineapple pomello character. Soft yet pungent pithy bitterness with some warming alcohol quietly sneaking in. Extreme pineapple. Some sharp hop compounds are there too, but the whole package works in a way that does not burn your throat. A well done hop juice.

Pitch black, espresso head. The aroma is mostly coldbrew, with some balancing dark sugars behind. Pretty strong coffee, not deranging though. That is to say, it is a bit too straightforward. The coffee is strong in the flavour as well, adding a layer of, well, coffee and earthy roast over the malt sugars. On the negative side, if stills a bit of the malty/hoppy beautiful simplicity of the base stout. Good heat, smooth body. Overall, a tad too coffee forward... Still, a solid first batch and and enjoyable sipper.

JUL-2019. DRAFT. Still has some of that husk in the aroma. No green hops, no ugly burnt barley. Really rich dark sugar dark chocolate liqueur alcohol balance. Straight, big and bold, no complaints. 4,1/5.
APR-2019. Batch #1. Pitch black, espresso head. The aroma starts with grassy and green hop notes. Faint burnt sunflower shells, shy dark sugars and fresh malts in the background - hardly impressive, so far. Some alcohol, or ethanol should I say, slowly crawling in. Gets maltier and even grainier with time - these cling in until the end. The taste is much more punchy (not pastry or sugar bomb, though). Restrained, though not totally sugar-free, dark malts and treacle, low on roast malts big on spicy pungent hops. Just the right amount of alcoholic heat. Smooth, easy going mouthfeel. Overall, a bit weak on the aroma, strong on flavour and balance. Almost... really good. 3,9/5.

JUL-2019. Batch 2. DRAFT. Palest straw. Bright apricot aroma, no sugars, no ugly hop resins. Dry enough to not be tutti frutti but still flavourful, just the right pithy bitterness without hop burn. Hit the sweet spot right in the middle. 4,1/5.
APR-2019. DRAFT. Cloudy golden, white head. The aroma is quite hoppy, but not downrigth crazy - pithy citrus, light malts. The taste goes on with the citrus and peel. No big sweetness, no tutti fruity hops, but the residual sweetness is a bit plain sugary. The body and the aftertaste bitterness have a pleasant mildly polyphenolic mouth-coating astringency. Overall, a nicely balanced well made modern IPA that stays well away from the fruit juice territory. 7-4-7-4-15=3,7.
BOTTLE. Cloudy dirty amber - looks oxidated, white head. The aroma is mostly citrus peel, some sugar, some mellow fruitier and bubble gum notes, followed by light but clear stale citrus - quite strong, but does not have that fresh squeezed feel. The taste has the same feel. Just moderate sweetness, citrus peel, pithy and zesty bitterness. Not bad overall, but seems to be handicapped by the bottling - does not seem to be downright off, but if it had that fresh hop juice character, it's certainly lost now. 7-3-7-4-14=3,5.
