tap at Denver ChopHouse - Pours clear yellow with a white head and has a light malty aroma with a touch of fruit. The flavor is sweet, light, and bready with a touch of fruit and disappointingly very mild hops. Not too bad.

A nice orange amber ale with a thin white head. A light malt aroma with some British hops. In mouth, run of the mill ale with light smokey notes, no hops, boring. On tap at Denver Airport, August 28 2009

Sampler @ Denver Airport location. Has a lightly hazy, dark straw color with a sticky lacing. Aroma is sweet off the bat with lots of thick spices in there as well. This combines to make a very thick spicy cereal mash. Flavor is similar with an addition of a metallic characteristic. Comes out too sweet with an overpowering spiciness that is out of place and it is nowhere quaffable enough for the style (or as far as I like it I guess).

Sampler @ Denver Airport location followed by a shaker pour. Color is absolutely clear brown with a surface covering lacing. Aroma is light bark with light caramel malts peeking through, and a sweet woodsy aroma. Flavor is similar but less bark. It is well executed with sweet malt flavors but not sweet sugars. Thicker, light velvety mouthfeel goes along with the slight reduced carbonation. With the shaker pour I get a real nice, strong head formation. Also, I detected just a faint touch of German/Euro herbal hops in the nose. The best of the bunch at this place, lots of flavor, lots of well melded characteristics, yet simply and easy to drink.

Sampler @ Denver Airport location. Color is completely clear dark straw. Has a lightly sticky lacing. Aroma is mineral with lightly sweet corn. Flavor is similar with a nice crisp bite to it and just a bit sweeter and thicker maltiness. The carbonation is nicely felt on the cheeks. Gets just a bit too sweet for the structure of the beer but all in all a decent Dortmunder as far as Dorts can be.

Sampler @ Denver Airport location. Has a completely light amber color. Aroma is all hops; made up of lightly sweet, lightly green, and strongly citrus hops. This comes out a bit more muddled in the flavor and I could not differentiate the different hop components as well. There is a bit of white bread sweetness from the malts added to the mix as well. It’s low on the bitterness and an above average carbonation. In the end, it is your basic/standard brewpub APA/IPA.

(draught - Denver) DRAUGHT Saison? Full-hazy yellow. Fine white head. Wheat-smell, slightly spicy (pepper, Szechuan-pepper). Taste is banana & cloves. This is a bl**din Weizen!!! And not even a good one at that. Medium bodied, very carbonated, fizzy, banana aftertaste. OUCH!! Does 'Rock-Bottom' mean one can't fall any deeper?
