Hypha Project
Contract Brewer in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦
Over time, the group all went in various directions, a few ultimately started local breweries, others just continued to practice drinking beer. This project reunites three of us from those days and we want to access that community feeling again but bigger this time. We love well made beer and art that doesn't take itself too seriously, so that's what this is about, those two things and the people who feel connected to them.

Poured from 473mL can. Cloudy gold with white head. A bit chalky, citrus hops, mild tropical hops, mild hop oils. Has a slightly harsh quality to it that really brings it down a notch.

Poured from the tap. Very hazy gold with white head. Underlying sweet fruit, pineapple, oily, but dry resin hops. Flavours blend nicely together.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Cloudy blond colour, with nice creamy head. Aroma of tropical fruit; it's moderately sweet but balanced by the bitterness; the hop has a sharp citrusy, zesty character.
Very good.

Has excellent foam and a foggy yellow body, somehow I thought this would be dark, you know the noir in the thing and no my order was not screwed up. Smells of nice deep chewy hops, candied, though a little simplistic. Flavour is smart and weedy hops, chewy with pineapple hints. Full with modest oiliness, a fun and easy IPA.

Excellent foam on a cloudy gold body, smells of sweet juicy hops, pineapple, mellow chalk. Flavour is very good chewy hops, vague peach, smooth pineapple, some orange zest. Full and oily with soft chalkiness. A nice meld of a fruity IPA, easy drinking.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Hazy blond colour. The hop profile is moderately piney, and vegetable; the mouthfeel is lean and dry (appreciated); bit of pithy bitterness. The last pour of the can is slightly more fruity. This would be a modern West Coast IPA in my book, not flawlessly executed, but decent.

473mL can, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Nose brings out bitter piney hops, a touch of stone fruit, and cereal malt. Flavour is astringently bitter, with some hop burn, lots of piney bitterness, a slight vegetal character, and biscuity malt. There's some strange earthy, vegetal—almost sulphur-like—notes in back that intrude on an otherwise decently constructed beer. It's alright but needs some work.

Strongly carbonated cloudy gold, modest foam, good sweet hops on the nose with some hints of vanilla. Flavour is all oily sweet hops, mellow chewy pine, soft pineapple and witbier notes in the background. Good oiliness on the mouth, smooth and full. Well crafted, slightly floral and sweet, a nice take on an IPA.

Can from Legacy LRS, Vancouver
Murky pale blond colour. Nice hop aroma, citrus, light dankness, spruce tips. Soft mouthfeel, rather dry; there's some aggressive citrusy and piney resin that leads to vegetables bitterness, and some yeast dirt.

Hazy yellow gold with a small white head. Orange and some peel. Bitter and orange with more bitterness. Not great.
