Pours a dark gold, with brief small fizzy white head, some bubbly retention. Aroma is bittersweet dessert apples, brown sugar, funk. Inviting. Taste is very dry, the bittersweet element coming through, brown sugars, slight caramelized edge, a bit of an abrupt finish unfortunately. Nice but could have been better.

Clear amber with small off white head. Aroma of biscuit malts, earthy, floral, lemon peel, hints of astringentcy. Taste of citrus peel, bread, grapefruit, pine,. Light to medium body and a dry astringentcy does come through but otherwise it's ok.

500ml bottle shared with my mate Phil in my house bar. Clear amber body, off-white crown. Decent enough English Bitter, malty rather than hoppy, but enough hops in it to give it a bite. Not bad for a 'joke beer'.

500ml bottle: BB June 2025. Drank on Christmas Day 2024. Bland in all aspects, Black bodied, beige topping. Thin feel with a malty front, very similar (if not the same) as their 'Drop a Log' Stout..

500ml bottle; BB June 2025, drank on Christmas Day 2024. Dark brown with a thin tanned crown. Not the most exciting Stout I've come across, but it's OK and not terrible or undrinkable, just a bit forgettable and uninteresting.

500ml bottle: BB October 2025, drank at home on 12th December 2024. I wonder if this a Batemans brewed beer? Anyway it is perfectly acceptable, and not 'a joke beer' apart from it's name. Clean golden body, off white crown. Decent blend of bittering hops and a light malty sweetness, nice with cheese!
