Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours near black with a light earthy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roast joined by a good amount of toffee with slight hints of bitter chocolate and caramel. Flavor begins dark with roasted malts and dark chocolate but has a bit of sweetness from toffee in the finish.

Bottle @ drbm. Black, short head. Wonderful aroma of fresh grinded coffee, roasted malts and a touch of vanilla and bourbon. The bourbon notes come through more in the taste and is wonderfully balanced with the sweet mocha and vanilla flavors on a good backbone of roasty imperial stout. Smooth as a whistle, wonderfully complex and balanced brew. Superb.

Copper with a white head. Medium, fairly smooth body. Aroma has light pumpkin and a decent helping of pie spice, with light toasty malts. Flavor is toasted pumpkin, malts, spices, nutmeg. Well rounded, well crafted pumpkin beer. A bit lighter than ST Pumking, which makes this a bit more drinkable. Quite good.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours an opaque pitch black with a beige head. Heavy coffee aroma atop some sweet roast. Medium body, very sweet roast, vanilla and coffee. A little chili notes - as I often find in coffee beers. Hardly any bitterness. 080911

I would dispute the claim that this porter bears any real resemblance to an 18th century example, but it’s a solid enough beer, on its own. Roasty with a mix chocolate and cola flavors. It’s not as rich as better examples. Ashy feel with a mild tang. More roast bitterness than hop. Cola aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a bit fizzy. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a beige head. It’s an ok porter.
