12 oz bottle @ Liberty Street Tavern, Allentown, PA. Served in a pint. Hazy gold color. Nose of light orange peel and coriander. A very middle of the road Wit. The coriander is VERY powerful as it gets warm. A bit thin in body. But the brew has a very clean and refreshing finish. A nice brew for warm summer day’s. I would drink this again.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a light orange tint and a very thin white head. Aroma of curacao, wheat, coriander seed, yeast and a good dose of sugars - very nice and very true to the style. Light-bodied; Sharp malty and yeasty flavours at first with a good strong orange and curacao flavour tucked behind some potent yeast and very mild wheat tastes. Aftertaste is rather sharp with a strong taste of wheat and yeast and a little touch of corn and coriander seed. Overall, a beer true to the style, just missing in a few ways, but not a bad beer by any means, just not a great one. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Wegman’s in Gainesville, Virginia on 22-May-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 05-June-2011.

Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, over ripe fruits, hops, and some oxidation. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, over ripe fruits, and old hops. The alcohol leaves a burn on the palate.

Another sweet ass bomber courtesy of the one and only ksurkin, thanks Ken. It pours deep inky darkness with mocha like head. The aroma is nice and rich and bold and smooth as well sending up big waves of caramel, fudge pudding, dark chocolate, vanilla wood notes, rich coffee goodness and some smooth bourbon notes. The taste is velvety smooth on the palate and creating such notes as smooth sweet fudge brownie, sweet coconut meat, veins of vanilla yum, sweet bourbon, smooth layers of black strap molasses and silky sweet coffee notes. Oh man, this is just yum-oh-lishious from front to back.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice medium size dark brown foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of very nice aromatic coffee notes with some light bourbon notes and light vanilla. Taste is a very smooth mix of bourbon and aromatic coffee with well rounded roasted malt with light vanilla and bourbon finish. Body is quite full with nice creamy texture and some good carbonation. Very well brewed with great balance and easily drinkable while being quite complex at the same time.
