10 November 2023. At Billie's Craft Beer Fest. Thanks to tderoeck for sharing today's beers - cheers to so many more!

Hazy black. Pear, green apple, oak, cherry, brandy, fig. Sweet pear, green apple, sourish cherry & red berry, some unripe red grape perhaps. Dark fudge & dried fruits in the woody, brandy-like finish. Medium body, oily texture. Could have been more pronounced, but generally agreeable.

330ml can. Jet black colour with late awakening, small, frothy, fading, tan head. Roasty, dark malty and minimally smoky aroma, notes of maple syrup, hints of chocolate, honey, coffee. Taste is sweet-ish and roasty, dark malty, somehow herbal, notes of maple syrup, hints of honey, coffee, some alcoholic bitterness, a minimally smoky touch; warming, alcoholic finish, slight Genever touch overall. Oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, medium, soft carbonation. Disharmonious, boozy - not convincing.
