12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a clear, super dark ruby red color with dark ruby highlights and a beige head with excellent retention. Great lacing too. Dark chocolate and roasted malts aroma. The flavor is similar to the nose, with more roasted malt flavor and less chocolate notes. Super smooth and clean, with a drying finish. Slightly thin body for the style. Light carbonation. Low bitterness in spite of the 40 IBUs. Very nice beer.

Draft pour into a standard shaker pint
Pours an deep amber to ruby red with a finger of white to off white head that disapates fairly quickly leaving minimal lacing.
Aroma of caramel malt to toffee, clean yeast with faint fruity esters, some grassy hop notes.
Caramel and toffee lead into some light but bright fruity esters lending a perceived sweetness that ends balanced by the hops coming in at the end
A medium bodied ale that is super smooth and drinkable considering the abv. A nice malty body balanced by a dryness and a slight hop bitterness make this one go down easy
Overall this is a very nice big Irish red ale that drinks smooth and easy. Paired with a shepards pie on St Paddy's day it was really working for me. I'd gladly come back to this.

12oz can. Aroma isn''t that pleasant. Oily on the edge of sour, gastric. Medium bodied, easy drinking. Overall quite lackluster, Great Lakes used to be able to do a lot better than this.

Pours a clear bronze with a small tan head. From,a of malt on the nose, some lingering hops. Taste has plenty of malt, rich grain, some caramel. Palate has light smattering of hops that lingers, some more clean-billed malt. Good.
