Description
Fat Head's was founded in 1992 as a premiere craft beer tap house and restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. In 2009 we expanded to Ohio and teamed up with our award-winning Head Brewmaster Matt Cole. With the explosion in popularity came the necessity to open a full-scale production brewery in 2012. Fat Head's Brewery produces original ales and lagers for distribution throughout Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

Our Tap House offers Samples, Flights, and Fresh-brewed Pints! Sit right in the heart of our facility and enjoy the freshest beer from our tanks to your pint glass. We have a 16 tap draft system, bar seating, picnic tables, and some seriously tasty grub to go with it.

Hazy amber with a large foamy head that left good lacing. Tropical fruit, a bit of cat pee and a bit of booziness. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

12oz bottle from November of 2019, it is September of 2021 now, so a little aged but holds up rather well. 10.5%. Mild spice, well incorporated. Strong, full bodied, pretty true to style flavorwise.

Pour is a orange with a large foamy white head. Aroma is orange marmalade. Flavor is more oranges and citrus with a malt backbone that is more dry than sweet. KInd of old school IPA vibes but without the sweeter malt bill. Decent beer.

Actually a top IPA. Piney, resinous. Circa 2014 killer.

Drank from can but color is slight haze on pale. Grapefruit comes thru up front but it covers any aspects of hefe that may be present. Pink? Not sure. But the color of beer has no hint of pink in there. LOL. Yea, not sure if this is even a shandy but its certainly not a hefe. Overall not bad, a little better than plain old macro beer, its flavored.

Very clear copper and lightly bronzed coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall pure white head that stays afloat for a while and fades without leaving anything on the sides. Aroma of very bright and strong grassy, citrusey and super floral, resinous hops with a ton of alpha acids and bitterness noticeable with a dry bite and some light alcohol with a good deal of nutty and caramelised malts. Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and floral hops dominate with a ton of bitterness and resinous, perfumey notes with some resin and pine also, but the balance of malt and hops is nice, despite the pungency and abundance (in a good way) of the hops and bitterness. Aftertaste shows some bright grassy and perfumey hops with a lot of dry, bitter and floral hops, a ton of bitterness, some very subdued citrusey notes and an enjoyable balance - but no sweetness or depth - this is all about the hops, in a very nice and pungent way. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-size can, purchased from Heinen's in [downtown] Cleveland, Ohio on 30-July-2021 for US$2,89 sampled in my hotel room here in Belleville, Michigan on 01-August-2021.
