Grapefruit peel and rosehip aroma. Cloudy amber, thin head. Peach, apricot, candi sugar flavor. Clean finish. This and the Dangereaux are the only beers I’ve had from Rock Bottom, but I’m impressed. These are good for a chain brewpub.

Fig, baby food, and tobacco bouquet, an odd yet pleasing combination. Cloudy brown, thin head, good lace. Fig flavor, tart malt finish. Fairly unique, but not a saison. Dubbel maybe. Barring that, call it a generic Belgian ale.

A reddish copper saison with a thin moka head. A weird vegetal aroma of decomposing compost, rotten cherries. In mouth, a harsh sweet candy with definite infection, reminiscent of certain Qc infected wonders, some licorice, herbaceous character, warming alcohol, very bizarre....blagh! On tap at Rockfest, April 25 2010.

In mouth, a rather light representation of a blegian ale, with light candy sugar, funk, alcohol, thin bodied. On tap at Rockfest, April 25 2010.

Sampler @ the brewpub. Comes to me with a dirty brown color with little to no head retention. Aroma is wet, faint, musky Belgian malts. There is some wet and earthy fruitiness (a bit cherry-like, but not really). Some light cocoa. Flavor has a bit of wet earth with an herbal kick at the end (seems like hops at the end). Its a well done Belgian non-sour red. Has a bit of a spritz-y mouthfeel.

Sampler @ the brewpub. This is a fine stout all around. It pours with a strong head retention. The head is a nice brown color. The aroma is lightly prune with a plenty of chocolate coming off the malt. A little bit of roast in there as well. Flavor is strong on this aspects yet very easy to drink. I could drink this all day.
