Description
Ross Tapp is Irish but above all Norman since he settled in Calvados more than twenty years ago. He is a brewer and distributor of a beer for which he developed the recipes in 2018. Meanwhile the range includes around fifteen beers. Based in Saint-André sur Orne, the Brewmaker team brews 1000 hectoliters a year and the brewery is already thinking about expanding its production capacity. Trained by Bruno de Ghorain, master brewer in Binche, Belgium, Ross offers recipes from the best malts and hops. About ten beers can be brewed at a time, from white at 5 ° to stouts at 11 °, beers that can be kept for several months.
These craft beers are a la carte at the Brew Bar, which naturally completes the Brewmaker's distribution chain and which is at the heart of the brewer's project from the start. This Anglo-Saxon concept is worked to the end, since a tank is also installed in the bar for an ephemeral recipe brewed on site. This capsule beer is only available on draft.

Can from Hyper U at Abbeville. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Hoppy, some tropical fruit. Taste: A lot of tropical fruit (passion fruit, guave, some mango and pineapple), hoppy, smooth malty base. Barley malt. Ok French DIPA, but in no way comparable with good American DIPA's. Quite sweet. Over moderate sweetness, light bitterness.

440ml can from Super U, Hazebrouck. Pours a misty gold, loose bubbly head that recedes. Aroma of sweet citrus. Flavour profile of sweet citrus with sappy hints.. perhaps a lick of bubblegum.. fairly light bodied, more so than I expected, not much of a malt base, not bad overall but lacks the punch of a real DIPA.

Bottle from somewhere in Normandy. Amber with a tall foamy head. Earthy start with yeasty fruity hints and a pleasant malty-sweet background.

Tap at The Brew Bar, Caen. Bit hazy light golden. Decent slightly dry beer with plenty of dank weedy hops, and some citrus zest. Solid medium bitter.

Tap at The Brew Bar, Caen. Quite hazy light golden. Lots of wheat, citrus zest, soft weedy hops, light spices. Quite a thick wheat feel with matching sweetness and a soft herbal bitterness. OK.
