Rerate: bottle from local AH, packaged 19.12.2017 BB 19.12.2019. Clear yellow color, medium frothy head. Aroma of german hops, bit herbal spicy and grassy. Soft bitterness in taste, slight herbal sweetness. Gets closest to the classic german pils, I couldnt notice the difference actually. Back in the days of my original rating, I couldnt appreciate classic german pilseners, so a NA variant wouldnt be any different. But this is top class NA stuff actually. Upping the score to 4.0 Original rating: Bottled @ Kafe Belgie. I drank this beer from the bottle. It had a hue body and a small head. Yadayada, yadayada. You know the deal, should this kind of stuff really be on RB? 3/2/4/2/5=16

Tap at Brouwerij Lane. A very basic - though solid! - German Pilsner. Pours clear and bubbly with a yellow hue and a fine, white head. Light hop aroma with some malts. Flavor is sweet with a pleasant hop crispness. Light to medium in body with fizzy carbonation. Finishes crisp and clean with some mild bitterness and lingering malty sweetness. Good.

500ml can. Pale orange, large collapsing white head. Mild aroma of earth and spice with just a hint of grain. Taste has a little grain and pear sweetness and plenty of quite biting peppery bitterness. Austere and in excellent condition. A very good example in a style I find hard to love.

Draught. Pale yellow with a white head. Thin aroma that is followed by a thin feel on the pale. Quite sour.

On tap, Raddison Blu Hotel bar, Hamburg. Standard golden looks with a white head. Lively carbonation. The hops here rescue this from faceless pilsner mediocrity. Dries out quite pleasantly towards the finish. Crisp, clean and drinkable, and definitely not as bad as anticipated.
